There are great waves also in José Ignacio, specially in the morning.

So if you have a surfboard, just bring it!!.

NOTE: Even though windguru is pretty accurate on most of uruguay spots, in Garazon we always get at least 5 knots more than the forecast on most ot the days. Specially when the wind is coming from the east.

Kite Recommendations

Wind starts at 1pm, with ranges at an average of 15-17 knots.

If you already kite, we recommend to take two different kite sizes (e.g.: 9m and 12m).

Lessons are cheap, and they include a kite, so If you want to try it first this is the perfect place to start.!

Outside temp: Bring a lycra t-shirt and maybe a 3mm short wetsuit, since at noon temperature starts to fall and it may get a little colder.

Fialka Bed and Breakfast [ENGLISH]

Fialka B&B is a cozy home that has evolved to a well known Bed and Breakfast in the heart of "La Juanita".

Carefully attended by its owner (Antonia, aka: Fialka), it preserves the charm of a paradisaical place where you can not only rest but also get to know the amazing East zone of Uruguay.

It is located approximately at 1.42 miles of the town "José Ignacio", and only a few steps of an unbelievable beach, one of the most beautiful in the country. At night, people choose to party in La Barra and/or Punta del Este, at 15,23 miles, approximately.

The conditions of the winds, temperature of the water, and general climate make the whole package ideal whether you want to practice Kite surf, surf or whatever you enjoy doing in the water!. The B&B is between two lagoons, Laguna Garzón and Laguna José Ignacio and completely surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean, so if you are looking for waves and permanent winds you have found the perfect place.
